The Ministry of Justice participated in the Athens Arbitration Days, which took place from 24 to 28 November 2025 in Athens, bringing together leading voices in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution more broadly.
On the first day, the Special Secretary for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Ms Olympia Anastasopoulou, delivered a brief welcoming address at the event organised by EODID in cooperation with CIArb, highlighting the importance of arbitration and its inclusion, for the first time, in a single legislative framework as one of the main Alternative Dispute Resolution methods, while underscoring the benefits of the monistic system for outward-looking policies and investment.
The second day focused on Dispute Trends & Enforcement of Arbitral Awards: an ICC Regional Perspective, with the participation of ICC representatives from Serbia, Turkey and Albania, while the third day addressed Construction Contracts and International Arbitration, highlighting the pivotal role of the construction sector in the Greek arbitration landscape.
The Ministry of Justice and the Special Secretariat congratulate the organisers on the excellent organisation of the event and on their efforts to promote the institution of arbitration in Greece.
