The Special Secretary for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Ministry of Justice, Olympia Anastasopoulou, spoke today at the Hellenic Parliament during the 15th General Assembly of the World Interparliamentary Hellenism Association.
Ms. Anastasopoulou presented the work of the newly established Secretariat, which aims to modernize mechanisms for consensual dispute resolution and to alleviate the burden on the justice system, with a focus on the new Alternative Dispute Resolution Code and the revised Code of Civil Procedure.
Special attention was given to the new Judicial Map and the positive statistical results that have already been recorded. In conclusion, the Special Secretary proposed the creation of an Anglo-Hellenic Dialogue Council on the issue of the Parthenon Sculptures, highlighting the role of mediation in international cultural disputes.
The Assembly provided an important opportunity for dialogue and underscored the significance of institutional cooperation with Hellenism worldwide, promoting modern solutions to national and international justice-related issues.
